PATH's Mission
The Partnership for Advancing the Transition to Hydrogen (PATH) was established in 2002 in collaboration with the governments and national hydrogen associations of Canada, Japan and the United States. Its mission is to spread a consensus vision of the hydrogen economy globally and facilitate its implementation.
As countries and economies are beginning to take the first steps along this commercialization road, Partnership for Advancing the Transition to Hydrogen (PATH) seeks to develop an international community of interest in hydrogen to share knowledge, demonstrate that hydrogen systems are safe, reliable and affordable, and meet the unique requirements that each country may impose on these systems.

Report on the Global State of Hydrogen Energy (PATHways)
PATH plans to create a comprehensive paper and presentation about where hydrogen as an industry stands in the world today.
The paper will divide the world into regions (Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Pacific, and South America), focus on individual countries within those regions and report on their visions and actions in regards to hydrogen power. The paper will describe all aspects of the hydrogen supply chain to end use, from the mining of raw materials and inventive new ideas to futuristic demonstrations and the creation of 21st century technology.
The research will have a wide focus to form a broad base of knowledge and will explore why individual countries desire a transition to hydrogen, how they expect to benefit, what hurdles stand in their way, how they plan to make it happen, and where they currently are in the process. This research will also document government funding, academic research, existing demonstrations, planned demonstrations, new innovations from industry, and any other unique ideas coming from an individual country.
