PATH Association of the Month: Australia Association for Hydrogen Energy (AAHE)
PATH is pleased to highlight the Australia Association for Hydrogen Energy (AAHE) as its association of the week! The AAHE held its inaugural association meeting at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Sydney, Australia on 6 September and dignitaries from Australia and abroad were invited to participate in the launching ceremony.
The Hon. Clover Moore, MP, Lord Mayor of Sydney and Janice Larson, Director of Renewables, for the Government of British Columbia, Canada were on hand to participate in the event and offer congratulatory remarks. PATH General Manager and U.S. NHA President Jeff Serfass also participated and offered brief congratulatory address.
Lord Mayor Clover Moore made headlines when he announced Sydney has won the bid to host the 2015 World Hydrogen Technologies Convention (WHTC 2015). The AAHE, in partnership with Business Events Sydney (BESydney) were instrumental in preparing the successful bid to host this prestigious event.
As it Press Release explains, the AAHE is “the national association promoting the use of hydrogen as an energy carrier, its integration in the Australian economy, and the development and deployment of hydrogen energy technologies, such as fuel cells.” It replaces Australia’s former Interim Member*, the Australian Institute of Energy – Hydrogen Division, while the AAHE was being founded.
The AAHE has a website at http://www.hydrogenaustralia.org and it may also be accessed through a directly link from PATH’s homepage. For more information, contact Dr. Attilio Pigneri, Marketing Director, at marketing@hydrogenaustralia.org or call +61-405-740355.
(*Interim Members may join PATH and receive the same benefits as full members while they work with the stakeholders within their home countries to develop hydrogen associations. For more information, click here. http://www.hpath.org/about-path.asp)
