Ry Smith
Director
Hydrogen Village (http://www.hydrogenvillage.ca)

Mr. Smith is responsible for leading the planning, management, and implementation of the "Hydrogen Village"; an internationally recognized program that is developing a permanent and sustainable hydrogen and fuel cell infrastructure and economy in the Greater Toronto Area.  Previous positions held by Mr Smith include, Manager of the Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) Division with Union Gas, and Director of Transportation Business Development with Stuart Energy. Mr. Smith is the recipient of the Canadian Ministry of Natural Resouces’ Michael Grant Technology Award and the CNGVA Award of Merit.

Gary Schubak

British Columbia Hydrogen Highway (http://www.hydrogenhighway.ca)

Gary Schubak is the Manager of the BC Hydrogen Highway Program. Prior to his current role, Gary spent over 13 years at Ballard Power Systems in a variety of positions, including Product Development Engineer, Program Manager, Applications Engineer and most recently Account Manager. Before joining Ballard, Gary held a number of positions, including Applications Engineer with Power Measurement, Ltd., Instructor at Camosun College and Research Assistant at the University of Victoria’s Institute for Integrated Energy Systems. Gary is a Registered Professional Engineer in the province of British Columbia and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree from the University of British Columbia (1989) and a Master of Applied Science Degree from the University of Victoria (1992).

Terry Kimmel (Moderator)

Terry Kimmel is the President & CEO of the Canadian Hydrogen Association. Mr. Kimmel joined the CHA in 2005 as its Executive Director and has served as the President and CEO for the past year. For 6 years prior to joining the CHA, Mr. Kimmel held senior marketing and business development positions within the hydrogen and fuel cell sector. Mr. Kimmel is a Board Member of the Partnership for Advancing the Transition to Hydrogen (PATH) and the International Association for Hydrogen Energy.
