The Partnership for Advancing
the Transition to Hydrogen (PATH) is pleased to announce Sociedad Mexicana del Hidrogeno
(SMH)
is PATH's newest member! SMH is PATH's second Affiliate Member in 2007 and its
seventh total member to date. The Society's official
Representative
is Mr. Jose Anaya of Praxair and Alternate representative is Mr. Javiar
Fortuna.
SMH was founded to:

-
facilitate
the exchange of hydrogen information
-
develop a
consensus vision for the hydrogen economy in Mexico
-
distribute
information about hydrogen technology to the public
-
educating
about the benefits of hydrogen fuel and technology
-
promote the
economic benefits of hydrogen commercialization in the Mexico.
The SMH holds numerous events each year in various areas. On 30-31
August, SMH, in collaboration with the
Network of Technology of Hydrogen of the National Polytechnic Institute,
held its 2007 Annual Course on Hydrogen Technologies. This course
covers numerous topics including:
SMH will also be hosting the 7th Congress
of the Sociedad Mexicana del Hidrógeno and
Third Spanish-American Conference on Hydrogen and Fuel Cells on the
26-28 of September in Chihuahua, Mexico. The Congress will hold topics which include:
- Hydrogen Production
- Integration of hydrogen - Fuel Cells
- Skill Conferences
- Technical Sessions
- Industrial Exhibition
- Hydrogen Technologies
