PATH Develops an International Hydrogen Initiative
Database
PATH is proud to introduce the International Hydrogen Initiative Database!
With the primary lead of PATH's intern Colleen Longacre, of Georgetown
University, PATH was able to develop a comprehensive database of local,
regional, national, and multinational hydrogen initiatives.
While the database continues to expand, it currently contains 50 entries highlighting local hydrogen initiatives in 25
countries across all 7 continents. Each
entry contains the following information (where available):
-
Name of the initiative
-
Country, region, and/or city where the initiative takes
place
-
Brief description of its purpose or goals
-
Lead authority
-
Other contributing or participating organizations
-
Results to date
-
Amount and sources of funding
-
Beginning and ending dates of the initiative
-
Project website
-
Contact information (including name, address,
telephone, and email) of the project manager.
These initiatives span a wide array of fields, including
research and development of fuel cell technology, transportation and fueling
station demonstrations, and educational outreach programs.
The database includes information regarding successfully completed
projects, ongoing initiatives, and programs that were terminated prior to
completion, in the hopes of gaining valuable information regarding the prospects
of future initiatives.
The scope of this database will continue to be expanded to include
additional countries, including those whose national governments are still being
introduced to the hydrogen economy and where data for local initiatives
are not readily available or easily accessible.
The database is available to PATH Member Associations via the
